History. It’s what I write. Well, what I’m attempting to write. There’s a difference. Regardless, when I first launched this website I did a few posts called Research It. I stopped making them because they took so. much. time.
But you know what?
I really miss them!
That’s how it always goes, right?
I didn’t realize just how much I enjoy learning about history until I couldn’t remember which American president came after Richard Nixon. (It was Ford, by the way. Followed by Carter. But I digress).
The problem with the initial Research It series was that it had no direction. I only build three posts, but this time it has a new purpose. Instead of researching general topics, like writing implements (there’s already so many posts out there on that topic), I’m sticking with one region and one state: Southwest Pennsylvania.
There’s a reason (many reasons) Pennsylvania is called The Keystone State. I want to explore more mountains. More peoples. More events, places and things invented here. I want to shine a light on what built this amazing state that’s not without its own special set of problems.
Digging into history is what sparked the idea for the novel series, so I’m not about to give up on discovering more about our world.
I think it’s time to LEARN again.
